Laptop Hard drive won't be recognized in desktop PC
I seem to have solved my own problem. I plugged it in via usb and setup as cable select, and windows detected it and gave it a drive letter! woohoo. Still don't know why it didn't work in the pc but oh well.- theguy88

Hello, I have a laptop without a CDROM drive that I want to install xp on. I know you can do it by connecting the 2.5 laptop drive up to my desktop using a 2.5 to 3.5 converter.
