"PDBBDE error: Unable to locate idapi32.dll" on Paradox-based reports
Just to update this one, part of my problem here was that Crystal Reports 8.5 doesn't explicitly support Paradox 7. A document at http://support.crystaldecisions.com/library/kbase/articles/c2009948.asp says that it's Paradox support and tested platforms are versions 8 and 9. The choice has...- bfruit

Hi Andrew. Thanks for pointing that out - I omitted to say in my original post. We're running BDE version 5 with the 5.11 update. It isn't that causing the problem - or at least it's not the absence of BDE causing the problem! Any other ideas, folks? Thanks, Jay- bfruit
