Can ping remote ip with -S flag only
That is correct -S ip is on the alias subnet and I cannot ping any hosts on that network, unless the -S flag is used.- Brent2814

Sorry I should have explained a little better: . There is only one nic card in the server . We are running Sco Unix open server version 5 . There is one alias ip on the card. hope this helps!- Brent2814

Can ping remote ip with -S flag only
HI WE currently have a SCO box that run version 5. We can ping the local router (a lynksys model befsr11)with no problem. The issue is that any ip beyond the local router can only be pinged using the -S flag but NOT with a normal ping. The remote site has the same router model. Any help would...- Brent2814
