    Thanks Jack. Yeah - initially that is the route we would have taken - it's so much easier. But unfortunately, CL programs can only receieve a maximum of 9'999 characters passed through to it - so this wasn't going to be any good to us. But thanks for the reply anyway. m xmas! cheers phil
