    Thanks Stduc, I did find out that the mobo has a built in Promise RAID controller, so it looks like get another mobo or lose all my data and reinstall everything. The mobo is an Asus A7V133 - nice in it's day. I did find two used ones for $1.00 on E-bay. So, looks like that's it!

    Thanks for the reply Sean. I am going to have to check the specs on the motherboard as to whether it was hardware or software. I do know it was MBfasttraclite.
