imac won't boot from CD
Thanks for the suggestions, but we did hold the C key to boot from a CD and that gave us the firmware screen where the "bootr" appeared. We followed a number of steps that I found on the internet to try and fix it. Resetting Pram, updating the firmware, etc. We had it working and...- cgidebi

Hello, I tried to install os x on my imac... got partly through and decided that I needed to update os 9 first, so I stopped the process. Then I put the CD into the drive to boot from the CD to install os 9 and get the following error: bootr, unknown word failed to boot Can someone help...- cgidebi
