Thanks Michael The problem is that the iMac is Totally dead; No power light-nothing!! It worked for months since the last install of OS X. Regards Al- hagheid

Our imac 400 dv refuses to start. I've checked for power/reset the switch 'internally'/changed batteries etc. Does anyone think this is a board problem? I would like to fix this machine but the economics are suspect. It was running perfectly then last week suddenly took ages to start up, while...- hagheid
