So I got an answer, thought I'd share -
Apparently this was simple and more to do with just disk management than iSCSI.
I used the rmdev to remove the disk, then I exported the volume group and now that box knows nothing of the previous iSCSI connection.
This is my understanding (recently learned this, hope it's right - worked for me though)
Using the command "rmdev -dl hdiskpower233"
Should remove the drive from the system then you can export the VG and remove that as well.
