Nevermind, I figured it out. I needed to Ungroup the divided objects before selecting. Thanks for your help.- kevendean

Thanks for your reply. Maybe I am not getting this, but when I use the group select tool and click on the overlapping area after following the previous steps that you mentioned, it doesn't do anything. What am I missing?- kevendean

i am not receiving a broken image icon when i load the page, so it is not simply an issue of the image file being in the wrong place. ColdFusion is not recognizing the string as HTML code and so it is not displaying the image. that's what i need to know how to fix. not the HTML. -
