After installing mysql-3.23.49.tar.gz on RedHat Linux 7.1, I cannot run "./scripts/mysql_install_db" from anywhere to initialize the database. Doing so gives:

Oh, and the next time I try it, I get the same as before with this extra line included:
"You should do a 'make install' before executing this script."
I've already done all the make and make install stuff and even tried it again.
