    HI, have one more stupid quetion for you gurus: I am trying to set up the onboard nic using solaris 8. I installed the os with no problem, but when I ran ifconfig -a it is not there. I looked in the /dev directory and only hme is evident. I also tried a reconfiguration boot with no luck...

    i am trying to set up a 2nd nic in an intel box using solaris 8, but when I run ifconfig it does not see the card. The configuration assistant sees the second card, but apparently the software does not. Any suggestions?
