And what is called a "gracefull" restart is an option of the apachectl command. It sends a SIGUSR1 to the process.

I am using IBM HTTP server 1.3.6.
The server can be started and stopped, and works normally.
But when I try to restart the server (gracefully or not), apachectl returns a zero RC, but all the httpd processes (father and sons) are killed.
