    RoyVidar The method you identified works fine until the text field height is reached, then when the VB moves the focus off to carry on processing, the text field the field 'resets'. I'm not sure if this can be got around? PS its probably a forms question, but since I was driving it from VB....

    Digitall The version we have here has that option greyed out.. I have managed to get round it by creating copies of the shapes, in the colors I need! Its not a clever solution, but solves my problem. Thanks for you help

    Digitall Thanks for the response, I'm using Visio 5.0 and can't see a FillForegnd cell in the available sections to set it.. where should I look, I assume its in the Shapesheet?
