Unable to connect to Logical Disk Manager service
I had the same problem after installing maxtor MaxBlast software and trying to change the drive letter of my hard drive. Couldn't fix it in a reasonable amount of time, so I just did a fresh install of windows. Hope you found a fix. Brandon- Linkman81

Root lvl folders slow to open, all else fine.
I have a 4 year old internal WD 300 GB SATA hard drive that I used for storage and backup purposes. Recently it was written over by a RAID management tool when one of my other drives had failed.
