Never mind - I figured it out. It was a mistake with the UFL.
This idea of just replacing the crpe32.dll file and using an old vb 6.0 app to run CR12 files really works!!
I have a VB 6.0 app that displays/prints CR 8.5 reports.
I am now migrating all the reports to CR 2008 (Not the Visual Studio version).
I replaced crpe32.dll in the C:\Windows\System32 directory and the VB app prints/displays the CR 12 reports.
However, reports that use cusom functions...
