    Hi, why can't i connect to the internet using a hyper terminal? is it because the hyper terminal doesn't support TCP/IP or due to some other reason? what is the difference between hyper terminal and dial up connection we use?

    how the packets reach the router

    hi, All packets reach the router first before any transmission begins... I want to know how the packets actually reach the router? who sends them to the router?...the computer , the hub or switch?? how can one determine as to which router the packets should raech? Thanks for any help.
