    Update. I went back and started over. I first tested fiber and found out the pair I was using was not work. So switched to a 2nd pair and that worked. Then found a patch cable that was bad and of course my only extra one is bad as well. never hurts to double or even triple check your work

    Yes we are using the 3COMS #3CSFP91. As far as the FIBER it is crossed on one end.

    OK thank you. But the Baseline Switch 2816-SFP or the 2824 do not have a serial connection like a Cisco does.

    What do you mean by console? Ill have to double check the web interface in the morning and see if i see anything called a console

    I am trying to connect a 2816-sfp to a 2824-sfp. Both have updated firmware. We had an issues at another location were we had to update the firmware to connect 2848-sfp to 2824-sfp.
