    My client is running Networker 5.5.1 on an Origin2100, Irix 6.5.7. The tape device is an ATL P1000, 2 drive bays, 30 slots. Hardware compression seems not to be configurable, yet this is what the client requires -- he prefers h/w compression to Networker's s/w compression using Unix Directives...
