Dell and Rambus
The past few years Dell has gone very much proprietary. Does this RAM have a return warranty? If so i would try it and if it does fine you have saved some money.- roxbcs

system wont boot up, with continous beeps
That is a good possibility but it definitely seems to be a motherboard issue. Test with another motherboard from aberdeeninc.- roxbcs
