thanks for all the responses- i just realized that i failed to mention the memory size for the video cards i have- they are both 256MB cards.
and i am on a budget so i cannot afford to purchase a new video that sells for more than this particular one does (or more than the new hard).
i am in the process of choosing a new upgrade for my gaming computer. first, here is my current setup:
- Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard
- AMD Athlon64 4000+ CPU
- 3GB DDR400 PC3200 RAM (1x1GB, 2x 512MB)
- 2x BFG GeForce 7800GTX Overclocked video cards
- 120GB SATA150 7200RM Maxtor Diamondmax...

cdogg, i am aware of the performance margin (if any in some cases) between using a SATA drive with and without NCQ- what i am looking for is a performance comparison between enabling NCQ on a single SATA300 HD...

so between the options of (1) using Raid 0 with 2 SATA300 hard drives, and (2) enabling NCQ to be used with a single SATA300 drive- which is the better option in terms of real-world performance?

i have a shared directory on my Windows Server 2003 R2 machine. my problem is that whenever i access this directory from my other system- VM machine Windows XP Media Center 2005 that sits on the Server 2003 machine- i am always prompted to enter a username/password to acess the shared directory...
