Found the issue. The PRI provider did a trace and found we were sending a “RGN” (redirecting number) out on all ours calls. I looked that up and found it was caused by the “Enable Original Caller Information” checkbox in the trunk group setup.
Unchecked that and now we’re working normally.
Hi all, I have a weird (to me anyway) issue.
We put in a new Shoretel phone system a couple months ago, and a new PRI (Allstream in Canada) to go with it.
Generally, all is working great. We do have a couple odd issues though. Why I am posting this in a Norstar forum I hope you'll understand in...
Thanks for the feedback.
I booked the ATT class and also ordered the self study kit from the normal, non-att class to get a little more familiar with it before the class starts.
I'm not sure if this is an Exchange issue, or an outlook issue on one users machine.
I have a user who twice in the last few months, has had this issue. They attached 2-3 files in an e-mail, and sent them off. The recipient e-mails them back and says the two attachments are the same content...
Hi,
I'm looking for an opinion from someone who's taken Novell ATT (advanced techincal training) classes before.
Our company had a couple offices, the office I am located in is strictly windows/exchange/ActiveDirectory. Our Main office however runs netware and groupwise 7.
My boss wants me to...
Hi all,
Not sure if there is a simple way to do this or not.
We have a US and Canadian office, our us office is domain.org and our canadian office is domain.ca. The US office runs groupwise and we run exchange2003.
We also have temporarily setup a new domain for an event we're running, called...
I added a smart host, forwarding our e-mail to our ISP and having them send it, and the problem went away.
So I'm guessing it was something with the SMTP connector on our system.
We are mailing directly, not using a smart host. We had used our ISP's smart host a couple years ago but didn't like the limits they imposed on message size.
I have confirmed though we are not listed on any RBL's that I can find. The intermittent nature of this (1 message blocked, another...
I confirmed the recipient did not receive the original message.
I then e-mailed one of the problem recipients and it got through fine, and he replied back. I replied to that message, and then got a bounceback, again saying "Relaying denied. Please check your mail first.
I ran the tool and everything passed.
We get this to various different recipient domains. Big ones like cogeco.ca (large ISP in Canada), which I am sure are not having issues.
I've added a couple more DNS servers for the exchange server to check with, and will see if that helps. It's hard to...
There is a reverse DNS yes, our domain is for example, abc.com
The mail server is ex1.abc.com
reverse DNS for the IP for the mail server points to abc.com
The message does look like it's coming from our server, here is a copy, names replaced.
Your message did not reach some or all of the...
I run an exchange server with about 80 users on it. Everyone connects via exchange, either in the office or remotely with RPC over http, so no POP3 or normal SMTP connections.
Intermittently, users are getting messages like "You do not have permission to send to this recipient", or "Relaying...
Thanks for the info guys.
I had looked at the Microsoft netware client, but it only runs over IPX, which I don't want to run over the VPN.
I'll look into setting up CIFS.
Hi,
At our company, our head office uses Novell (6.5 I believe), for setting up shared drives and the like.
Our office is all Microsoft, we run active directory.
So, this week I established a gateway-gateway VPN between our offices. I installed the Novell client on one of our servers here, and...
We have a Nortel Meridian system (DR5), and I can't figure out how to correct something.
If a user picks up the handset, they get a dial phone, and the phone# of the line they are on is displayed. The phone selects an intercom button. Then, to make an external call, the user then presses 9, and...
GHTROUT, I did try downloading a couple spc players a couple days ago, but none of them played these files. It seems Nintendo also used .spc for their file type on their console systems, which is what all those players are for.
Hi,
We just installed a voicegate ICS 4 port (Win2k version), in our office. We have a Norstar Meridian phone system (DR5).
I've got the system running and doing most of what we need, I just have a question related to modifying the VG, it's a silly issue really, some people just don't like the...
I think this should be a simple setup but I can't get it working, so I am looking for help.
I have a home network setup as follows. I have a cable modem, which then goes to a 5 port switch. From the switch, I have a VOIP router, but thats not part of this. Coming off that switch, is a linksys...
Thats not the problem though, even 16 hours later, there were still hundreds of messages in queue, they just are not sending. So it doesn't matter when it sends, something is getting stuck, it will happen the same off hours.
