sorry, the point of my question is that the HTTMLFileInput control will not simply let me set its value. I have been told that this for security reasons. Any other ideas?- TimSchild

Is there a way to get the HTMLFileInput control to maintain the path in its text box when another control causes a post back? I have thought about using validator controls for all other controls on the form but this won't do as some of my validations are done by stored procedures in a database...- TimSchild
