Hi Ettienne,
Why do you recon it's not shared data?
Surely the "cannot verify user info" error at login relates to the system not being able to read the users.ism file?
Also, can someone perhaps explain the function of the semaphore.bin file. My understanding is that ACCPAC uses it to...
Scan Isam reports no problems and backups only run after hours whilst we experience this during working hours.
Also, the DB resides on the SAN, which hosts other DB's as well, whereas the shared data, and my gut tells me this is causing the problems, is on a separate PureStorage SSD.
Will chat...
Thanks for replies...
We are busy with a history clearing process and can understand that big data could be causing DB locks within SQL as well as async_network_io waits however can't see it having an impact on users.ism?
Server seems to be idling and DB is in Simple recovery.
Rather suspect a locking problem on the Shared data (semaphore.bin and/or users.ism)but not sure what could be causing this?http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=169ef841-6d28-4fcf-9206-a2b18a3d8299&file=SQL_Server.JPG

Database is on Win Serv 2012 R12 64 bit with SAN running SQL 2014. Shared data is currently on a pure storage device (SSD) on the same SQL...
Thanks - tried adding a line in ICCOST as well as created the GL account but still no luck. I however managed to find the offending transfer and flagged it's status as "Day End Completed" and now the day end is at least running past and doing the rest whilst we try and figure out what's gone...
Appreciate the reply...
Already checked the table and it is completely empty. Is this a temporary table as there are many transfers already processed by previous day ends as well other transfers which still need to be processed?
Hi Everyone - new to this forum and my first post...
I have looked at the RVSPY log however am unable to make any sense of it and would appreciate it someone more knowledgeable can assist. It seems as if it fails at an IC transfer however why and what to do to resolve?
Regards
Dawie...
