The 98 partition (which boots directly) is on a fat32, which is upgradable to 2000. 2000 is completely wiped out! I deleted all the files from my 2000 installation since it was corrupted somehow Linux (2000 files might have been on linux's partition, dunno how, i didnt defrag 2000 before...
No LILO is not installed on my MBR. I am loading into windows 98 by default. I'm wondering how windows 2000 checks for multiple operating systems. Any light shedded on this area would probably solve my problem.

Can't you just return the name of the modified HashTable? For example:
public Hashtable[] foo(HashTable[] tmp)
{
...
...
do stuff
...
...
return tmp;
}
The syntax is probably not right, but the idea is there.
