    I'm getting oracle error "ORA-12592: TNS:bad packet" on Oracle 11g. It happens when reading from the database on an app server separate from the db server. The read fails. Anyone seen this before? What did you do to fix it?

    How big should the ibdata file be and can I split it?

    I have an ibdata1 file that is 5GB. I am running on Windows 2003 Server. Does Windows have a problem accessing such large files? Do files this size cause performance problems? Should I split it into multiple data files? How do I split it?

    How to identify actively running SQL statements

    MySQL is consuming 97% of my CPU and I want to know what it's doing. I know in Oracle and MS SQL I can find out what SQL statements are currently being executed. Is there a similar utility in MySQL? How do I use it?
