    Cisco 2501 is broadcasting 0.0.0.0 - How can I stop this?

    Thank very much for your input. I'll give it a look. I have noticed however that the config of RIP contains the line 'neighbour A.B.C.D' Having removed this line from the config,the sniffer does not now report the problem. Could it be that his broadcast is being bridged by the router?

    I have a Cisco 2501 which has IOS version 11 on it. (I can't recall the exact version at the moment.) The ISO also supports IPX in addition to IP.
