Footer extraction?
You could also use WordPerfect's built-in macro to convert footers to endnotes and then convert the document to text only. In WP9 the macro is footend.wcm- Chayo

Wordperfect formats docs differently on 2 printers
One simple thing you can do is go to Tools, Settings, Environment and in the General tab uncheck "Reformat documents for the WordPerfect default printer on open" option. A slightly different printer driver may have been used on the two printers which would account for the reformatting.- Chayo
