ok well.. it was a pc and i dont know how much RAM thanks for all the replies.. it was a library computer in a university and i think the problem was to do with how much ram was allocated to illustrator. I tried doing the same thing on another computer (in a different library) and everything...- abraham123456789

tracing a picture
hello! :). i have just started learning to use illustrator (today) . and i wish to trace around a picture but when i go to file - place and select a picture i am told there is insufficient memory to complete the opperation. I have tried this with different pictures and different canvas sizes...- abraham123456789
