Database SIze
The "wonders" of Microsoft. They just grow every time you update anything, with almost no relationship to the amount of data. Just compact it, and it will go right back to teh original size. Jim- jimstay

Access with non-mdb suffix
Joe, Thanks for the quick reply. When opening the database I told it to look for all file types ( *.* ), but didn't think to just type the name when linking. Now I'm ready to roll. Jim- jimstay

I am writing an interface to a purchased software product. It uses Access, but the database suffix is not .mdb. I have no problem opening the database. I want to link the table into my application When I try to add the table with "get external data" it says it doesn't recognize the...- jimstay
