you can use DSPOBJD or DSPLIB command to see the size of the object if you want it from command line. DSPLIB would give you all the objects in the library with the sizes. if you are trying it from inside a CL, you can use a RTVOBJD with SIZE(&VAR1) SAVSIZE(&VAR2) this woulg...- kk23
