Every Monday morning, my area is responsible for updating all project plans to determine new estimated start and end dates as well as the variance as compared to the baseline. We do this in MSP by using:
'tools'
'tracking'
'update project'
and then selecting 'reschedule uncompleted work to...
Resources are showing as overallocated in the project plan. So, we have MSP level the resources. After leveling is complete, the same resources still show as overallocated. Any ideas why?
A project plan is constructed, resources assigned and then it is baselined using MSP. Then, weekly it is updated and the remaining work rescheduled. After the work is rescheduled, often times the task durations change. Does anyone know why this happens? Durations are entered in days, fixed...
While doing on-line research, I stumble upon an MSP Companion Software tool and was wondering if anyone has heard of it or used it before. It's called Project Program Manager (PPM) and is a Project Management Information System product.

Thanks for your response.
So, is there anyway to show the baseline data for the overall, summary task? We need to reflect high-level baseline data, not just the detailed task level.
I have created a master project that includes over 30 sub projects. The subprojects were all baselined before being inserted into the master project. Once in the master project, the baseline data appears to be lost - all the baseline date fields say "n/a'. How do I retain all the baseline data?
