Thanks for the tips on the manuals... I actually already had most of the relevant manuals. Unfortunately, they don't mention it being possible to activate or deactivate the feature. The only mention is how to use it, as I described above. Oh well. Thanks so much for your efforts anyway.

Most of our phones are Starplus Triad 24 Button Executive Key Telephones, part # TR9015-71. I'm not certain what KSU stands for, but if you mean the main phone system box, all it says on the front is Vodavi.
