    Setting a start frame for a filter

    I'm a newbie, so excuse the ignorance, but... With the Shatter filter, for instance, when I select the filter, it shatters the whole clip. I can't find a way to make it shatter at a specific point or frame. The manual's no help at all. It's driving me nuts! Thanks, Doug
