    what might cause network setup wizard not to launch?

    trying to network but cant get network setup wizard to launch on one pc. have tried different winxp discs. could a network card problem cause the wizard not to launch, but work fine otherwise. I feel like such a moron.

    my xp/pro laptop can see the wifes xp/home desktop. her system refuses to run network setup wizard. her system cannot see mine. i continue to get error messages on her system that... our network is not accessible. might not have permission... contact administrator. network path not found.
