CD Controller is not working!
After you remove all 'Hard Disk Controllers' and all 'CD controllers' under 'safe mode', Windows will install the drives automaticaly after restart. You should not install any 'cd controller' manually. This driver you tried to install will not work anyway, because it was used for old CD-ROMs...- GoranY

Assuming you have Windows 9x, try this: 1. Restart computer into safe mode: hold F8 while starting Windows and choose Safe mode from the list, 2. Go to Device manager and remove all CD-ROMs, Hard disks and IDE controllers that you have. 3. Restart Windows normally (not in Safe mode). It should...- GoranY
