Does anyone know how to remove the Common Task Side Bar which shows up on the left side of the screen when you open a folder.
One work around is to: go under tools | folder options | general tab and select: use classic folders. I'd like to accomplish this at the GPO level, I'm using 2008r2 as...
part of the mystery solved - it turns out you can use long file names with directories, however robocopy hiccups if there is a space in the directory name, e.g., program files (x86). apparently the work around is to use quotes around the file path name, making sure to add one space before the...
attn: bborissov,
thanks for the reply, the database i'm trying to copy is in fact located in:
c:\progra~1\micros~1\mssql.1\data. the problem, is that I can't see the mssql.1 directory - it doesn't show up in the dos window, only the other directories do: 80, 90 and 100. of course, i can see...
A little off topic, but I'm trying to use robocopy to copy a file located in mssql.1\mssql\data directory in 2008R2.
The problem is that robocopy uses dos convention, e.g., program files -> progra~1, etc. The problem, is that I can see 100, 90 and 80 directories, but I can't see mssql.1 when...
I have a web server configured as a dmz on a vlan, hence it's own unique subnet.
Everything works fine, however, I want to be able to communicate with a device that is local to my network, which sits on a different subnet.
my setup looks like this:
web server (192.168.4.4)
x0:v4
dmz

Print Screen is disabled and they run XP which I don't believe has a snipping tool and even if it did, I've locked the Client with various GPO settings that would make it impossible. My reasons for doing so, are data security related.
Prepared to be stumped :)
I've been locking down printing of excel files at work, via gpo.
I've plugged every whole but one - when inserting an excel file in outlook, a user can right click on the file and choose quick print which will shell out, open excel and and pass a print command...

the sonicwall to my switch and configured a sub interface, along...

Hi, I would like to restrict printing of files with *.xls or *.xlsx extensions via gpo.
I tried using office 2010 adm file, but not dice, using control ID 4 to disable fileprint command for excel but didn't work, although control ID 3 for save did?
So I was thinking a work around might be to...
Using Policy Template: excel14.adm I am unable to disable: fileprint under
under 'custom' disable commands. I'm using control ID '4' and no dice.
Some of the other ID's work like '3' which I believe disables filesave.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have two nics where are teamed coming from my web server and wanted to know if I can configure two dmz ports for lag on a tz205. I suspect this can't be done and suspect I have to create a unique vlan on my switch with 3 ports, e.g, port 46 for my upload to dmz on back on tz205 and than...
