This is also what I do. The phone system is used mainly for intercom, this being a summer camp for children, few people have a need to call outside. Staff members mostly use internet for calling outside, for which we have wifi hot spots in a few places.
Aw, shucks. Was too good to be true.
It does make sense though: why would they send power all the way on the wire when a power supply is much simpler.
