Forgot one item in my previous post. If you're printing to a network printer, turn off the spooling in 98. Set it to print direct to printer instead. Since the network (Novell, in my case) spools the print job already, "why chew your food twice?" as someone once told me.
I've dealt with this problem off and on also. Putting PrintServer100.exe in startup does seem to help. I also had some luck gong into the System Properties - Performance - File System and telling the machine it was a Network Server instead of a Desktop Computer. I guess the theory here is...
