    Excel - Toggle Button Code

Hi Combo Thanks for your response, but my use of the “x” in this instance was just to select/deselect different sets of data to be displayed on a graph. It might look clumsy, but Im not very experienced in Excel and using the “x” in this way works! Many Thanks

    Excel - Toggle Button Code

Hi Mintjulep Thanks for your reply. I use “x” in different ways, but in this case, it was to quickly select/deselect different sets of data to display on a graph. There may be a correct way of doing this which I haven’t yet seen, but using the “x” works. Cheers

    Excel - Toggle Button Code

Hi Jim Thanks for your reply. I think what I'm in need of is possibly an 'If, Then, Else' statement which toggles between the cell contents being either "X" or blank, but all my attempts end up with 'Compile errors'. I know it will be something really simple, but its eluding me so far. Cheers

Hi I would like to create a toggle button which places or deletes an “X” in cell C5, but I am struggling with the syntax. Could anyone point me in the right direction please? Many Thanks

    Hide if 'x'

Hi Skip Absolutely spot on, thanks so much for the code, its doing exactly what I’m after. The data recorded each week is cumulative (ie the 3rd set of data are the results after 3 weeks, and not the results that happened on week 3), so would not be back added onto previous weeks. I left the...

    Hide if 'x'

Hi Skip Hopefully the attached will show what I'm after. I've saved it with some cols pre hidden, so if you click 'UNHIDE', then the cols will be revealed. I want to be able to click the 'HIDE' button which will hide every col with an 'x' at the top in row 1. Cheers...

    Hide if 'x'

Hi Skip Thanks for your reply. This spreadsheet covers data which is being added week by week in columns (each week covering 5 cols) so even with my index cols A-D frozen, it gets a bit unwieldy moving around, so I was just wanting to make it easier to hide ‘old’ data. I will later on in the...

    Hide if 'x'

Hi I’m wanting to create a button that will hide any col which has an ‘X’ placed in it in row 1. This will be in consecutive cols, there will be no gaps in the row of ‘X’s. and will be in operation from D1 to GR1. I’m thinking the code will be along the lines of ‘Hide col if D1:GR1=’x’ but as...

    File Explorer into Excel

They are all 3 char, so I'm confident dropping the final 4 chars will do the trick. Thanks

    File Explorer into Excel

Outstanding Andy! Thats doing exactly what I was hoping for – apart from one tiny detail, its also listing the file extensions. As Im dealing with folders of many 100’s of files, is there away the final 4 characters can be stripped off? I can repost this in Forum707 if you'd prefer – sorry...

    File Explorer into Excel

Hi Andy Many thanks for your reply. I have tried your routine by attaching it to a command button and this results in a small window being opened headed ‘Microsoft Excel’ and underneath, the file name in question along with an ‘OK’ button which must be pressed to clear it from desktop...

    File Explorer into Excel

Thanks MakeItSo, but that sounds way beyond my technical ability – I wouldn’t have a clue how to write an application. It was a (very) long shot, I was hoping that there might already be an existing program that might do this, seems there probably isn’t! Thanks for replying though, much...

    Ranking Data

Yes, I checked that macros were enabled – or is that different to ‘Content Enabled’? If I change any of the scores in col C to say 30, should I see a trickle down effect on that score automatically appearing somewhere in the other two displays on the sheet? Thanks

    Ranking Data

Hi Skip Thanks for posting that spreadsheet. I’m not sure how it works – ie how I’d update it. Where would I enter new data? I tried changing one of the results in the first ‘area’ – ie cols A-C by putting a daft score of 20 in Andy Game 1 expecting to see Andy jump to the top of the table...
