Backup Exec 2010 R3 and IBM TS3100 Tape Library

We just installed a fiber connected TS3100 and BE 2010 R3 on a 2003 R2 server, the backup runs fine. The problem is when it fills up the tape it does not load the next available tape in the media set automatically, it asks to have another tape loaded. Anyone run into this issue before...

    TZ170 Enhanced Help

Hi, I'm trying to open up the HTTP port so the external ip redirects to an internal IP. I've added the access rule that does this but it seems like no matter what I've tried it thinks I want to access the admin panel, as I get a message in the log stating "Web access request dropped"...

Setting internal traffic to an external ip

Thanks for the suggestion, but I thought that just dealt with incoming traffic not outgoing. Also I forgot to mention we have 2 exchange boxes, one front end for email scanning and other duties, and a backend machine where the actual mailboxes reside. So email come in on the front-end and go...

Setting internal traffic to an external ip

Hi, hopefully this is an easy question. I have an ASA5505, we have a block of IPs from our ISP. We also have an Exchange server internally, I would like the Exchange server to send out emails through a specific external IP different from our primary one, i.e. the main external IP of the ASA is...

Problems with Cisco ASA and Linux VPN client

Have a user setting up a remote Linux VPN client, it gets connected and is able to ping the remote network, and a PC on the remote network can ping back to it, and TCP ports seems to be open to the Linux client, but it cannot open webpages or other types of client connections. I checked and...

    Trouble talking between Domains

Got it, was missing the reverse lookup on one DC/DNS added it and just to make sure created PTR records for both and it worked.

    Trouble talking between Domains

Thanks for the assists but still no luck do not understand why none of these fixes make any difference. Especially why I cannot get the secondary DNS setups to talk to each other.

    Trouble talking between Domains

Functional level on both is Windows Server 2003, and everything is correct for the DNS as far as I can tell, and the NIC only uses the ip of their respecitve servers. I get the feeling I'm missed one small setting somewhere.

    Trouble talking between Domains

Thanks, I did that, the DNS says it failed to transfer from the server. And when trying to create the two trust it says unable to read functional level of the specified forest, the server is not operational.

    Trouble talking between Domains

I'm setting up a new domain on a new server 2003 r2 to replace our old domain on an old server 2003, both have sp2 and are on the same network. I can see the two domains in the network and the 2 servers can resolve names to ips, but when I try to use the ADMT to migrate users or try to setup a...

    More ASA 5505 Help

It appears to make no difference the inspect esmtp on or off still get a SYN timeout when trying to receive email. Another odd thing after restarting the ASA I can no longer get to the outside world again, and tons of messages in the logging about suddenly blocking all sorts of tcp traffic even...

    More ASA 5505 Help

Ok just an update, I was able to get it to see the outside, and according to Cisco tech support my NATed stuff is setup correctly but the internal servers that I'm trying to reach from the outside world are rejecting the packets from the ASA 5505, keep getting a SYN timeout on stuff coming on...

    More ASA 5505 Help

Ok going to try one more time to see if I can figure out how to work a Cisco. We have from our ISP 6 external ip addresses. We'll say, 1.1.1.1 to 1.1.1.6, and 1.1.1.1 is the ip assigned to vlan1 (outside), that's all fine. Now ip 1.1.1.4 is for our mail server, and it is routed to out...

    More ASA 5505 Help

Hi Brent, thanks for all the help but I still cannot get the email to come through nor access my OWA from the outside world, and after 2 weeks of fighting with this device and Cisco tech support over the phone I've decided to return it and get a Sonicwall PRO1260 since I have experience with...

    More ASA 5505 Help

Ok I think I know what my problem is I just don't know how to tell the ASA 5505 how to do it. The external ip of the firewall is 209.33.xxx.addr1 and the email is coming on 209.33.xxx.addr2. Since we have 5 external static IPs assigned to us from our ISP we set one for the firewall and one for...
