Cron jobs executing hour earlier than scheduled

Annihilannic, The TZ is Central time. I checked the patch and the timezone configuration as well as bounced the cron service. The timezone appears to be configured properly and the hardware that is configured the same way does not have any issues with the time settings. Thanks for your...

Cron jobs executing hour earlier than scheduled

I have been attempting to track why cron jobs for a user in my HP UX environment are executing a hour earlier than they have been schedule. This issue just began a couple of days ago and it makes no sense because there have been no changes to the system that I am aware and none of the global...

    HP-UX 11i v3 FTP Transfers Slowed

Kozlow, The trace routes are coming back showing a single hop. I've had some time to look into this some more and it appears that the ssh wrapping of the FTP was what was slowing down the transfer. I'm currently looking into what if anything can be done to improve this performance. Thanks...

Getting information from other HPUX machines

womp, An option would be to set up a cron on the systems you need to collect the information from and then ftp the output to the system where you need to have your report created. I know that it is not elegant as far as solutions go but it will get the job done if you are able to create the...

dtpad printing from CDE and HP-UX 11.11i

You have to install a new printer for the system. Use sam for this job. If you have the printer on a local port it is even simpler. IF you have an HP printer then it has all the drivers you need. If you have a dotmatrix printer then the dumb driver should work. Part of the setup in setting a...
