yeah i figured out that its my hard drive that isnt working properly.. so 1gbram, how would i go about doing this "file swapping"? How will my friends pc detect my hard drive if it doesn't work in mine?
I recently built a computer and it worked fine for about 4 days. Now when i start my computer up it goes through the Hardware check-up, says everythings ok, then when it is supposed to start loading windows, it goes blank.

It won't load windows with the CD in the drive...
Go to your start bar and click on run. A little box will open up, type in "msconfig" and a box should pop up the far right tab should be the start up programs
I just built my computer, and when i go to power it up, it says CPU detected, and after a few more system checks it says, CPU Changed, then it powers off... if anyone knows what this could be cause by, or direct me to more appropriate forum header please post. Thanks!

Im in the process of building a computer and i just noticed the ATA x 100 (4 slots) on my motherboard. My hard drive is a Serial ATA 150. would this cause any problems?
