    How to Spread ? ( Trap)

    How do you bring about a spread (Trap) in Illustrator CS. I have lettering with Outline 3 pts Black Spot color and a White Spot color Fill. I want the white to Spread or overlap the white by .02 pts. Can someone give me step by step help on this. Thanks Much David
