Sorry that command didn't work :(
I have had to take the ASA5510 offline now coz there are some really strange things that are happening anyway, First thing is i have an ftp server on the inside, but when i try to connect from Outside with a winXP pc it don't work but does from a win2K pc, also...
Yeah, it's no problem i forgot about you can't access an external IP from inside, as a standard i know most firwalls will not do this apart from sonicwall firwalls that i have do.
Well i guess that this is the end of this thread, as problem solved, thanks for all your help!

Good old trial and error. I was just about to submit the problem to TAC and then thought i will give it one more go.
But i now have another problem ?!?!?!
If i try to connect to the internet ip from inside it still does the old 30 timeout syn.
ie
HostA - Internet - 82.111.251.83 - Firewal -...
By joe i figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I think)
I added this pool and it all seemed to work!!
global (Outside) 1 82.111.251.83-82.111.251.94 netmask 255.0.0.0
Can you look at the config and see if i have created what i wantted or a secuirty hole?

Hi Ya just an update, installed another asa5510 with smartnet support over the weekend with software ver 7.0(5), and couldn't get it to NAT so i have setup a cisco tek request so hopefuly they get back soon!

The server is windows 2003 sr2, browsing the internet, connecting via RDP internaly from any pc also runing a time management system (port 1224) + a web portal for it (IIS 6 port 80)
I have also tried my laptop with winxp pro sp2 using ip 172.16.100.104 (Remote desktop setup on laptop + iis)...
No joy :(
I am thinking is it worth me reseting the asa to factory defaults (Wipe it) and start from the begining?

In ado depends how you lock the recordset when you open it but it will give you an error telling you the data's changed or locked or read only.
Or another (Hard way) is to manage the records your self by adding a field in the tables called ie. 'ISAccess' and then when user opens a record, see...

Just another thing you said "Hp laptop will boot." have you just moved this hdd from one pc to another? as this can cause this error to. Happens coz the drivers are wrong if so have a look at this but be careful!! http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314082/
