2 years ago I didn't even have an A+, today I'm A+, N+, MCP, MCSA 2003 certified, finishing my CCNA/CCNP.
If you know you are able, then you are. Thats all that matters.
Everything else is dust...
One good way that I've implicitely discovered to get quite a bit of hands-on while progressing through my CCNA course is to repeat previous lab steps unto whatever lab I'm working on now.
Consider the following. Yesterday I completed a lab where 2 routers needed to network with 2 switches...
