G'day!
I've got an unusual situation. We backup our MySQL databases every night. The backup is done by copying the folders containing the database files (MyISAM on a Windows 2000 server) to a temp folder. They are then zipped and FTP'd to a server at our offices. If I then unzip the database...
Hello
I've read a number of posts where people refer to an "AR Aging Report". Where do I find this report in v5.4A?
Thanks
Rob
PS. Excuse my ignorance - I'm not an ACCPAC guru or an accountant.
Hello
I'm having an issue importing data into ACCPAC 5.4A SP3. I'm working with code created by someone else and I'm not too sure what the layout of the CSV file is supposed to be. The file seems okay but when I try and import it I get the following error:
Invoice total amount [910.02] does not...
Oops - I should have done a more thorough search of this forum. I found the solution:

Install the system manager service pack and run REGACC.
Thanks Ettienne

G'day all.
I've got a problem logging on to ACCPAC 5.4a. After entering my password and pressing enter I get the following error:
System error. Cannot connect to Sage Accpac Signon Manager.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Rob
Unbelievable! You're a star!!! I've only recently been asked to help with ACCPAC support... I don't have any ACCPAC background so I'm learning on the fly. This forum has been a great help.
Thanks ettienne
Hi DjangMan
I tried it but it didn't work. The report wouldn't even run in ACCPAC! It worked in Crystal Reports.
Thanks for the tip though - great minds!
Hello
I've figured out that the easiest solution to my problem is to copy the report and modify the command on each copy to begin with the sql statement USE dbname. This way I don't have to redesign the report each time modify the ODBC connection. So at the end of the day, each report uses the...
Thanks tuba2007
I tried your suggestion but unfortunately it didn't work. The ODBC on the subreport doesn't get updated...
Anyway, thanks for all your time and trouble. If I find a solution I'll post it here.
Rob
Okay! I've just done a simple experiment. I created a report in Crystal that pulls data from the ARCUS database using an ODBC connection. I ran it from two different companies and it worked! It gave me distinct data for each company. It worked with AND without the CMPNAME parameter. The problem...

Hi muhaidib
As to your previous post, I also have the same problem. Crystal displays the information from the DNS!
I've seen this CMPNAME thing on a couple of different forums but knowbody explains it properly.
Hmmm... looks like we'll have to create a report for each company.
Hi muhaidib
I'm still trying to figure this one out myself. From what I understand you add a parmeter to your report in Crystal. The parameter doesn't get used in Crystal but ACCPAC populates it automatically when the report is run. I don't understand how or what Crystal is supposed to do with...
Surely if ACCPAC changes the ODBC connection on the fly it doesn't matter what or how the data is queried. Once Crystal has the ODBC source it gets whatever it's told to.
So basically I'll have to create a new report for each company if I use a custom query. Is that right? I've tried using the CMPNAME thing and it didn't work. I'm using a command to retrieve the data.
