Trying to get IBM Director 5.1 to add a DS400, according to online docs Director 5.1 supports DS300 and dS400 devices.
But keep getting same message "CIM Error"
Call logged with IBM but IBM not the fastest in coming back with Director or DS400 issues

Did a similar thing on a IBM DS400 and mostly worked.
Created a Logical Drive and allowed both Win2003 server to access volume.
If I formated the disk as Fat32 then no real issues and both machine where faitly happy about sharing disk.
NTFS caused issues as permission sets get messy.

Should work, u can alos let the OS do the sripe for u using Dynamic Disks which would not require any reformating of ur OS. Just add the 2nd Disk let the OS pick it up a new Disk, set ur partition u want to extend to Dynamic and reboot is needed and once rebooted u can extend the partition over...
eccehomo, for iSCSI look at the IBM NAS Range (N3700, N5000, etc) as they are build for iSCSI or DS300 (iSCSI Model)
Bit carefull on DS300 and DS400 are they are coming off market soon.
Most of the SAN Units run Raid sub-System (0 to 50 depending on size of the units). Most will run multiple arrays with various amounts of logical drives per array.
As long as the vendor sets Raid level on the Arrays to 1 or higher you will have Disk Failure protection.

If you upgrading minor versions in ServerRad Manager it should not affect anything (IE 8.2 to 8.25, etc) and I have generally not had any issues updating within same version (7.x, etc) but I do update my servers with every second IBM Express Update CD which will update almost all server...
