    I was able to suppress these messages by issuing the " PROFILE NOWTPMSG", to set my ISPF session to no-write-to-programmer-messages.

    Thanks for the response. I actually did do both of what you suggested, same result. These messages are coming from a routine that is doing basically a "DISPLAY UPON CONSOLE", to use COBOL speak.
