slow login time when not connected to domain

please save yourself the flaming. I have looked around and found some posts about this topic but none seem to apply to my situation. My laptop users have to wait 5-10 minutes to completely log on to their machines when they are on the road and not connected to my domain. There are no roaming...

    store.exe leaking memory????

either way, the memory in use extends beyond the 4GB that are in the machine and that is what pushes the page file increase...something is not right

    store.exe leaking memory????

won't make any difference. it was increased because the store.exe was demanding almost 3.7GB of RAM. if you take into account the fact that the OS and many other processes need RAM as well it will just increase again

    store.exe leaking memory????

hi, i just installed ex2007 standard on a brand new server with 4GB or RAM. on a daily basis I get virtual memory low messages and I see that store.exe takes up about 3.5GB of memory. it starts low and eventually rises to that level and it would probably go higher if I wouldn't restart it. can...

requested registry access is not allowed

i am almost positive that it is default setting. I am the only one here in the IT dept. and the only one who knows what group policies are. so there is no chance anybody else did it. and I have never messed with registry setting through the GP either. this was the key in question...

requested registry access is not allowed

ok with help from ms I have found the problem and it has been fixed. my default domain policy was setting certain permissions on a key that was needed for installation and they were not correct. what bugs me is that this was DEFAULT 2003 policy yet it was incompatible with the 2007 exchange...

requested registry access is not allowed

I get this error a lot. It even shows up when I try to enter the license key. I have installed ex2007 on a brand new and fresh 03 64 bit R2 server and the installation on the client access and mailbox roles fail as well with this error. I have run all the prep steps already. Any ideas? I am so...

    access rules

actually I take this back. I don't follow what you are saying because I am looking at a rule we have that is on the INSIDE interface with the source of internal network and destination of ANY and according to the diagram they show me they are calling this an INCOMING RULE, yet direction on the...

    access rules

ok I can follow that much, but is there a possibility that ASDM lets you make illogical choices like: have an INCOMING rule on the inside interface with the source of ANY and destination of inside network? To me this particular rule would make no sense...but yet it lets me apply it

    access rules

Hi there, I am very new to cisco and the ASA5510, so be patient. I am not trying to configure the whole firewall, but I am trying to learn more about it, but I am having a hard time understanding the logic of the access rules. I am using the ASDM 5.2 and looking at the rules I see there are...
