Well, here is the thing; the script runs perfectly in windows, but when it runs in PE it misses parts of the script out:
<html>
<head>
<title>logon</title>
<hta:application
id="MyApp"
applicationName="logon"
border="thick"
borderStyle="normal"
caption="yes"...
Hi!
I posted a thread a couple of days ago, and was having trouble creating a password screen (HTA file).
Im trying to run this script inside WinPE 2004. I've found out over the past couple days that certain dll's are required for it to run.
I've got the script partly working, but my command...
Wow! Thank you kindly tsuji!
I realise I am jumping in the deep end!! Thanks to all of you for advising me. I have a long long way to go before I have any real knowledge!
OK!!!
This is probably way off, but like I said before I am a total n00b! I have been trying to find a way round it, and I am not expecting any of you to do the work for me!! If you could just point me in the right direction then you would have helped enormously!
Here is what I have got...
Hi PHV,
Thank you for responding. I'm a complete day 1 n00b to this!
So far I have the box! I have the text that you enter masked, but am really struggling with getting the text that is entered to be checked, let alone call up another file.
I've been searching all morning for advice! Any tips...
Hey!
I am getting really lost with vbscript! I am trying to make a script that is probably quite simple.
I want a password box to be displayed. If the correct password is entered, then it runs a hta file, if the incorrect password is entered then it runs another hta file.
I am happy if the...
Hi!
I'm having a few troubles with my server, and it updating the list of security patches that have been released. I checked the report and I get the following error:
Does anyone have an idea as to why this could be failing? It worked previously, and seemed to have just given up!
Hi,
I am in need of some advice. I have to change the SID on a large number of client PCs due to duplicates. I have downloaded SysInternal's NewSID from the MS website, and have packaged it.
The deployment works in as far as the program runs and shows up in processes (in client task manager)...
Have you tried changing the program to 'run with drive letter'?
I've had this in the past.
Also, if that fails, you could try getting the client to download the program before running? That may help.
Has anyone ever written a report detailing which network accounts are members of the local administrator group on their PC's?
I am trying to do an audit to find out what accounts are members of the loca admins, and would very much like SMS to do the donkey work for me!
Thanks in advance!
When I deploy a script I create the package as per normal.
Copy WScript or equivalent into the same folder on the DP as the package that you are creating, and on the program command line just type WScript (then name of script file, i.e. test.vbs):
WScript test.vbs
Works a treat for me!!
